So Susan decided to make a CBD ice-cream due to her own personal tragedy.
“My husband passed away unexpectedly on the 27th of September,” she said.
That’s when Susan unexpectedly met Matt Eastman, the owner of Lickity Splits Ice Cream, whose wife was a pediatric oncology nurse. This got her talking about cancer patients and Susan asked for an ice cream that’s high in protein, high in fat for my cancer patients.
The first word that came to mind was cannabis, and Heavenly Hash Creamery was born. The ice-cream they created comes with hemp-derived CBD at 20, 40 and 60-milligram serving. However, Susan found explaining it to sceptical patients was tough.
According to her, “It’s interesting because no one will ask the pharmaceutical industry to give them an ingredient list of everything that’s in those drugs, yet people tear apart CBD because they don’t know any better”.

She developed this ice-cream since her husband who passed away was in a lot of pain before he died.
“He had issues that he dealt with, so to think that his passing actually led to something that can help so many people is actually really rewarding.”, says Susan.
