CBD On The Shelves – CBD Products To Be Available At 1,500 Walgreens Stores

Cannabidiol, or CBD in short, is a component of the cannabis plant which is known for its medicinal benefits minus the intoxication. Since it contains no THC, it does not leave you with a high. CBD has been much spoken about in recent times and with the legalization being carried out worldwide, the CBD craze is bound to increase.

In fact, it would definitely be wise to invest it in CBD products right now. Experts say CBD has therapeutic effects which provide relief from physical and mental conditions. Keeping all this in mind and to cash in on the CBD craze and enter the fray, Walgreens announces today that it will sell many CBD products which include CBD creams, patches, and sprays in their 1,500 stores in some select states like Colorado, New Mexico, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vermont, Illinois, and Indiana, says CNBC. They are following the footsteps of CVS which was recently in the news for stocking CBD-containing topicals, including creams and salves, in stores in 8 states.

Thanks to a Farm Bill passed by the Congress last year, the use of CBD derived from hemp is legal, although the FDA has been cracking down on restaurants and establishments telling them they can’t add CBD to food or sell it as a dietary supplement. However, sources say many are still going strong on CBD based drinks and are not in a mood to cut down any time soon.

So while CBD in food and drinks is still a no-no for the FDA, you can stock up on CBD products like relief cream, or hemp-enhanced hair conditioner.
