When CBD is introduced into the bloodstream it reacts with the endocannabinoid receptors in the body and it brings changes required. It is known to stop epileptic seizures and also cures neurological diseases like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and multiple sclerosis. It majorly reduces pain and inflammation.
According to research, CBD slows down the growth of cancer cells hence, helps fight many types of cancer. It can also cure mood disorders like PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). CBD products are available in the form of oils, vaporizers, edibles, beauty, and health products.
It is essential to know whether the CBD product you bought is a pure extract or is mixed with other ingredients. As the percentage of CBD is not mentioned in every product, it is better to know how to calculate and measure.
- In this method, CBD percentage can be calculated in milligrams. Each gram is made up of 1,000 milligrams. Let us assume we are looking at 20% of CBD oil which means there is 20% of Cannabidiol in 1000mg.
- The amount of CBD per gram will be 200mg per gram of 20% of CBD oil. The formula for calculating this is 1000*0[CBD % from label]= total CBD per gram.
- Everybody responds differently to CBD products, so it is necessary to know the ideal dosage beforehand. Generally, the dosage will be accurate if gradually increased from one drop three times a day to two drops and so on. Eventually, the body will get tolerant to the effects and it will be easy to determine dosage.
- It is also important to consult the doctor before starting the treatment and reading the product labels carefully. The measurements on the label do not conform to any universal standards. Though CBD is legal in most places, it is important to know about the side effects and ideal dosage before using the products.
